The CWR-1 visor can also be used on the NXR and X-Spirit III models. Unlike the CWR-F racing visor, it is also slightly curved vertically. Especially mirrored visors ("Spectra") can scratch if handled carelessly, thus causing unwanted glare.

Especially for helmets without an integrated sun visor, the various tints offer effective protection against excessive sunlight. The light-sensitive "Photochromatic" visor, which adjusts its tint according to the light conditions and thus becomes a true all-rounder, is particularly noteworthy here.

A suitably tinted visor can also visually enhance a helmet's design – a factor that plays a role for many.

The currently valid ECE R 22/05 helmet standard requires visors to have a light transmission of at least 80% to be used around the clock without problems. Visors with a lower light transmission of 50-80% are marked with "For daytime use only," meaning they are only suitable for use during the day.
